April Favourites :)

I know it's been a while since I've done a monthly favourites post, but hopefully I can get back into the routine of doing one every month :)

  • Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Nail Polish in 340 Mint Sorbet
This is a super pretty mint green that I've been wearing really often. In fact it's currently the colour of my toe nails! :)

  • Maybelline Volume Express Turbo Boost Mascara
I've been using this mascara the most lately (when I do wear mascara). It's not as pigmented as my previous mascara I was crazy over, Benefint's "They're Real", which is the main reason why I started using this one instead. As I'm a lot busier now, I find myself hardly wearing mascara. When I do, I'm wayyyyyyy to lazy to take the time to remove every single bit of it from my eye lashes, and the fact that my favourite mascara is super pigmented didn't help. So this mascara is perfect for someone with a busy lifestyle. Just a few strokes of this and my eye lashes are longer and more volumised. The more coats you add, the thicker and darker they become. It's also really easy to remove, unlike "They're Real". I admit I will go back to "They're Real" but only during the holidays maybe?, when I have extra time to waste. But for now, Maybelline's Volume Express Turbo Boost mascara is my go-to mascara.

  • Bun Maker
I got this from Cotton On for about $5 and I've been loving the style of buns this bun maker can produce. I really like the look of a big ballerina bun right at the crown of the head, and with this I can easily recreate it. :)

  • Refillable Perfume Spray Bottle
This is basically a refillable purse spray that is also aircraft approved.  You can refill any perfume you want inside it as long as the original perfume bottle comes with a removable nozzle. It's a handy little bottle that I bring to school. Inside, I refilled it with Taylor Swift's "Wonderstruck". I can easily whip this out after PE or when I want to freshen up throughout the long day in school. The little bottle came in various Justice League character designs. I chose Batman to match my Batman hoodie :p but I'm thinking of purchasing another one, either Cat Woman or Wonder Woman, so that I can place that in my 'going out' bag. It is $14.90 per bottle at Guardian.

  • New Look Wallet
Nothing much to say about this wallet. It's just that it's been a while since I used a short wallet, as I'm usually used to really long and bulky wallets. I love the cute bow on the front of it, it makes the wallet look extra girly. I bought it for $16.90 at New Look.

  • Suave Detangling Spray
I've really been taken care of my hair lately. Usually when I come out of the shower, I will just comb through my towel dried hair with a wide tooth comb. When I encounter a knot, I would just use all my strength to try and break the knot, and this isn't very good for my hair. It causes heaps of breakage. I decided to start using this detangling spray I bought a while back. Even though it is technically for kids, it does the job for my hair. With it, combing through my still damp is a lot easier. I got mine at $5.90 from a discounted outlet.

So these are the stuff I've been loving over the month of April. I'll try to try new products this month so hopefully this month's favourites would be more interesting. Now, if you'd excuse me, I have to get back to my current favourite past-time...

Yupp, I'm on Fragrantica again ^^

November favourites :)

Hey guys!
So its that time of the month again, TIME FOR MY MONTHLY FAVOURITES :P

-Essence Silky Touch Blush in 30 Secret It-Girl
I LOVE THE COLOUR OF THIS BLUSH :) I like that it really suits me too and looks natural :) Apart from the colour of the blush, I like the fact that it has just the right amount of pigment in it. Just a couple of swipes with your brush and you get the perfect intensity when you apply it. It's not super pigmented that even with one swipe it will make you look like our cheeks are on fire, or hardly pigmented at all to the point where you can rub your cheeks in it and there still won't be any colour on your cheeks.

-The Balm Time Balm Concealer
Before I go into why I like this concealer, I would like to say that I don't prefer this over my MAC Studio Finish Concealer which I got at the same time as this. The reason why I didn't add that into my monthly favourites is because I've been using that for a really long time and it's not really a new product that I've just tried out this month, so yeah. I love them both equally :)
But what I like about this is that it's look thick but it's actually thin and really easy to blend. It's not as creamy as my MAC Studio Finish one but it still provides good coverage :) Only thing that may be a problem is that the colour range is limited compared to MAC. For example, I got this in the lightest shade available which is light, and even The Balm's lightest shade is still darker than MAC's NW20

-Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel and Night Concentrate
After I went on my MAC and Sasa spree, I realised how much I was actually spending on all kinds of makeup. So I made a promise to myself and said that I will start spending more on skincare. So I went to purchase these products after I was flipping through a magazine. The water gel is meant for day time use and was $20.90 and the night concentrate was $25.90. I love that they really moisturise your skin and makes your skin look so much healthier. Also, I find the Night Concentrate one really convenient and hassle free as it works as you sleep, so all you have to do is apply it before you go to bed and wake up with moisturised skin! One drawback is that it made my skin super oily. I wasn't really worried about the Night Concentrate one as when you wake up in the morning you have to wash your face anyway. I was more worried about the day time one

-Neutrogena Skin Clearing Foam Cleanser
For once, I found a skin clearing wash that actually works for my skin. It is kinda drying compared to other facial washes, but maybe it has to be that way to work on my skin? Anyways, all I know is that I love it :)

-Patene Night Miracle Essence
I love that you can feel the difference in our hair the next morning when you wake up. Its not like other products that say you can start seeing results after a week or so of use. For me, I could feel the results just after the first use.

-Patene All Day Smooth Miracle Water
This is amazing going hand in hand with my Sunsilk Damage Reconstruction Leave-on Conditioner. It helps to protect my hair from heat and humidity while my Sunsilk Leave-on helps to make my hair healthier.

-Maybelline Hyper Curl Volum' Express Cat Eyes Mascara
This truly is the blackest of black and I use it over a 'base' mascara to help amplify it. However, over applying this with a thick base coat of another mascara can easily lead to clumpy lashes so always start out with a little of each mascara.

September and October Favourites :)

Hey guys! So, liked promised, I combined my Monthly Favourites for September and October together since I missed out posting my September favourites due to exams.

Garnier Pure Active Spot purifying Toner:
I love it because it really works. Despite only having one item from Garnier's 'Pure Active' range, you can really see results with it, although not as fast compared to using all products in their range. However, something I need to bring up is that it is REALLY drying, so be sure to have their moisturiser if you are planning on getting this. I find that even with regular moisturisers from other brands, it still can be drying.

Marks & Spencer 'Dreamy Days' Fragrance 25ml
This was my first time buying a fragrance from M&S but I must say I'm really impressed with it. It costed $19.90 for a 25ml bottle. It doesn't stay on forever, but it doesn't go off immediately. On the box it say 'A pretty and delicate blend of lemon and bergamot with floral heart notes of lily of the valley, honey and magnolia drying down to warm aromas of cedarwood, amber and musk.' It has been my go-to frangrance since I got it ^^

Rimmel Lycra Pro 293 POP ROSE and Essence Colour and Go in 36 Enchanted Fairy
The two most used colours these past two months. Addicted to them both! :D

Pantene Nature Care Shampoo
This was my first time using this shampoo, and usually when I use a new shampoo I never tried before, my hair will get kinda dry and unmanageable before results will show. But with this it was super soft even on the first use. Its usually really difficult to find a shampoo that works for my hair, but this definitely does!

Sunsilk Damaged Hair Reconstruction Protecting Leave On
I find this really makes your hair feel and look healthy and also gives your hair a nice 'bounce' :)

August favourites and mini haul! :*

Hey guys!
I had a major practical exam this morning and I felt like I really screwed it up :( So I thought shopping might help, thus I have a mini haul :) Combined the mini haul with my august favourite so yeah. Let's begin :)

AUGUST FAVOURITES

FACE:
-Silkygirl Skin Perfect CC 2-Way Foundation in 01 Light
I AM CRAZY IN LOVE WITH THIS! I've been using it everyday since I got it! I love how it corrects redness even when lightly dusted over the face, so it's perfect for school ^^v It also provides medium to full coverage, depending on how you apply it with a brush or with the sponge provided. Definitely will repurchase it when it runs out :)

EYES:
-Silkygirl Blockbuster Colour Palettes in Smokey Charm and Urban Mood
Where to begin? :/ ........................ I know with this product I seem to be contradicting myself as I initially liked it then I had a new Essence eye shadow palette and preferred that to this but during the month of August I've really been using it and I've fallen in love with it again <3 Okay, so I use the Smokey Charm one more often then the Urban Mood one as during August I had 'formal events' and more dinners to attend and I like having smokey eye makeup for formal events. But anyways, I'm thinking of getting the brown colour one this month :) Like the one with different shades of browns ^^

-Essence Marble Mania Eye Shadow in 03 Swirl it, Baby!
I love all Essence eye shadow in general, but when it's marble eye shadow... :> I wanna get more of these but my Watsons outlet seriously needs to update this stock :(

- Silkygirl Double Intensive Gel Eyeliner in 01 Pure Black
I always loved this. But the problem was that I couldn't find an eyeliner brush that really gave me the look I wanted. The brush provided was not bad, but I wanted a brush that would be able to give a thinner line. But yeah, I've found a brush that is really awesome and works will with this and its the Essence Gel Liner Brush. But now that I have the proper brush, I've been using this more often! :*

LIPS:
-Strawberry Yogurt Lip Balm
I find this better than Maybelline Baby Lips not just cos' it's cheaper, but it feels creamier and nicer to use :)

-Silkygirl Moisture Shine Lipstick in 02 Innocent Pink
I don't usually wear lipsticks, but I find super creamy and I LOVE the colour. It doesn't dry your lips which is another plus point :)

NAILS:
-Silkygirl 2-in-1 Protective Top & Base Coat
I didn't buy this in August but it was during this month that I realised how much I really love it and can't live without it! It is a good drugstore alternative for other higher-ends nail polishes brands like OPI.

TOOLS:
-Stipple Brush (elf brand)
I don't really really love this brush, meaning that if I were to lose it or if it broke I wouldn't really care. There is nothing bad about stipple brushes, it's just that I prefer the coverage given from flat top brushes :*

MINI HAUL!!
